Iroko lumber is an exotic wood used in oven dried form. In time its color changes from yellow to dark brown. On the wood whose tones change from golden to brown the noticeable vessels are very stylish. It is offered as the closest alternative to the teak tree because it is heavy, oily and highly dense. Its specific gravity is 0,66 gr/cm³.
It is mostly preferred in outdoor applications. It is a very decorative and long living tree used in outdoor applications requiring durability and long life, in hardwood production, door and window manufacturing, in traverses, lab tables, garden furniture, and ship manufacturing.
